Meet Alaska, The year and a half husky Pyrenees mix. Alaska is the sweetest most loving dog I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Although he is a bit independent, he knows right from wrong but sometimes enjoys testing you. Alaska is fixed and up-to-date on all of hit shots. Alaska is a big and sweet loving boy who needs/deserves all your attention. I am looking for a very specific style home for him because this was never the plan when I got him. I thought I would be keeping him forever, but due to some big life changes I can no longer care for him. Alaska gets along great with everyone and anything, he is a curious adventurer and loves ... (Read More)to love. He is great with kids and other dogs. Id like to find Alaska a home with a big backyard and another dog, or a normal sized backyard with kids or someone to consistently play with him and take him on walks. He needs someone to snuggle up with and rub his belly, or another companion. Few extra things about Alaska: Does not play fetch, but enjoys walks, squeaky toys and playing chase He is a couch/bed and lap dog, im sure that can be broken..but id like him to be at a home that welcomes him to cuddle He has a kennel that I call his room, and he will go in there easily and willingly(not usually necessary) Knows sit,lay down, shake, and how to walk well on a leash Enjoys singing and will sing/howl to sirens outside Definition of an independent baby If you are interested in meeting Alaska please send me an e-mail. I am not looking to make money off of my dog, I am looking for a person who will hopefully keep me up-to-date on how he is and send me the occasional picture. Someone who will love him as much as I do, but be able to give him more time. Although I am looking for a small rehoming fee just to make sure he goes to a safe environment and does not get sold/abused/or in any of those other horrendous things you hear that happen to dogs. Look forward to hearing from you. (Less)

Tippie is a young, sweet, cautious girl. Her family abandoned her, her brother, and her mother after moving. They lived for months outdoors under their home, fending for themselves. Tippie is very timid and cautious of people. She is young, and will come around quickly, she just needs patience.

Alaskan Malamute Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Joe is a big, fluffy boy with a lot of potential. Joe's family moved away and abandoned him, his sister, and his mama. They lived underneath their home, outside, for months, before neighbors were able to catch them. In light of this, Joe is very cautious of people. He needs a home with patience and understanding of his situation that will work with him slowly.

PIease Read Before Adopting an Alaskan Malamute in Colorado
Alaskan Malamute Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Alaskan Malamute is an extremely friendly, large breed. Alaskan Malamutes are wonderful with older children. Alaskan Malamutes like to roam outside and need a large yard or acreage. Fences should be high with a buried base, since Alaskan Malamutes like to dig and can get out easily. The Alaskan Malamute is rowdy as a puppy but calms down as an adult dog. Human companionship is important as Alaskan Malamutes can get into trouble and ruin property if not given enough attention. Alaskan Malamutes need to be socialized with children and other dogs at an early age. Alaskan Malamutes, especially males, can be very dominant and may fight with other dogs if not exposed to them when young.

An Alaskan Malamute belonging to George Lucas was responsible for making the noises that inspired Chewbacca's vocal sounds in Star Wars. Alaskan Malamutes are still used as sled dogs for personal transportation and competitive mushing. The howl of an Alaskan Malamute is virtually indistinguishable from that of a wolf.
