Hello! I was recommended to reach out to you from a nice lady I met at the dog park. I have two husky dogs, one is a 5 yr old white female and absolutely gorgeous, and the other is her 2.5 yr. old son that is a great looking dog but is slightly unsocialized. I am looking for a good home for them both. I want a place for them to run and live a good life with a caring owner and I want my ex girlfriend to be able to come and see them on occasion if possible. I can take them to a rescue if you recommend one and also willing to find a specific home. I do need to re home them this week, as quickly as possible. They live currently on a chain and while they are well fed they don't get the exercise and quality of life they deserve. They would both or individually be amazing companions for someone that has the time and resources to care for them. Any help is appreciated. (937) 409-4954 (Less)

Luna is our 7 year old Alaskan Malamute who was born on 11/08/2010. We have had her since 16 weeks. We are in a very difficult position due to her item possession aggression and territorial aggression when at rest laying down in certain spaces. She also loves to howl which has resulted in a few threats of legal action against us by neighbors. She has nipped at my daughter when she was 4 and most recently snapped once at my friends face and gave him 13 stitches. He had been previously warned by her with a snap but he decided to try to kiss her when she was on a couch by herself (one of the territory aggression areas). We have 4 children and 4 adults that live in the house and are unable to be in constant vigilance about making sure she is supervised 100% of the time when kids are around. She has never bitten or snapped in aggressive manner in an attack, only when laying down when space or items were a factor and this happened once with some near misses I the past. She is a very loving dog that lives to have her belly rubbed and take for jogs and walks. She only behaves dangerously in he few situations mentioned. However for our family and close proximity with so many people and other neighborhood kids and friends she is too great a risk for our household. She sits and lays down, is house trained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines. She needs someone familiar with Malamute behavior and a more rural setting. She loves sleeping inside in summer and outside in winter;). We are in a position where we have to rehome or euthanize we cannot keep her due to our home enviornment. If anyone can help please contact me. Sincerely, Nathan (Less)

Alaskan Malamute Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Alaskan Malamute is an extremely friendly, large breed. Alaskan Malamutes are wonderful with older children. Alaskan Malamutes like to roam outside and need a large yard or acreage. Fences should be high with a buried base, since Alaskan Malamutes like to dig and can get out easily. The Alaskan Malamute is rowdy as a puppy but calms down as an adult dog. Human companionship is important as Alaskan Malamutes can get into trouble and ruin property if not given enough attention. Alaskan Malamutes need to be socialized with children and other dogs at an early age. Alaskan Malamutes, especially males, can be very dominant and may fight with other dogs if not exposed to them when young.
